GCHQ GCHQUBE TOUR
We were briefed by GCHQ to promote their summer placements and graduate opportunities through an engaging activity on campus.
To do so, we built a bespoke ‘cube’ structure, depicting some of GCHQ’s own cryptic puzzles on the glass panels inside and out. We challenged students to test their skills against the cube while giving them an opportunity to discover what it would be like to work for GCHQ post-university.
The cube toured across 10 universities across October and November in 2018, creating a truly unique spectacle on campus that reflected the forward-thinking nature of GCHQ’s work in cyber security and anti-terrorism.
During the build process, we had to ensure the cube was fully weatherproof, equipped with electric, lights and completely accessible for all students.
Once inside the cube, students were met with an impressive display of state-of-the-art technology, including 4 LED pillars and an interactive application loaded onto iPads in the centre of the room.
As support for the live events, we recruited a team of 20 Brand Ambassadors. They engaged with the student audience, providing key information about GCHQ, the careers on offer and how to apply.
