ICO Case Study

The Objective
To make students aware of how valuable their personal information and personal details are.
To ensure students think before disclosing personal details both on and off-line.
To encourage students to use the ICO’s ‘Personal Information Toolkit’.

Overview
Student Ambassadors were recruited at 15 Universities across the UK.
Ambassadors completed a range of promotional activities such as securing PR, establishing on-campus partnerships with the likes of banks & welfare staff and running a stand in the Students Union.

Results
21 days of promotional stand activity.
750 students completed ICO questionnaires.
52 Campus partnerships were established.
15 pieces of PR were secured.
Over 900 students joined the campaign Facebook group.
